Going back to the gym !!!

Have been in hibernation mode for the past 1 month and I really really want to get out of it and in order for that to happen, I would need a lot of mental power!!!

Stopped going to the gym and all the usual exercises. My oh my, that tummy is balloning up and my face looks like really REALLY FAT.

Worst ... I have been called names recently :P

Well, I have decided to put an end to all these hopefully it works :P

I will be starting my gym routine tomorrow in the morning. If all goes well I would be able to get out of the hibernation mode.

Let's see how it goes tomorrow ... :D ...

Cheers!!!

White Water Rafting at Kuala Kubu Bahru

It's been a long time since I last blogged. Well I made a trip tp Kuala Kubu Bahru recently to experience white water rafting. Missd a lot of oppurunities to do this for quite some time. Finally had the chance when the trip was organized by the company's KSC Splash Club.

Meeting point with the organizer (Chee Wan).

The journey took about an hour before we reached Kuala Kubu Bahru. Nothing much happened on the way as we passed through Rawang town and some trunk road. Basically it was boring ... there were four of us in the car (Lokman, Ben, Cindy and me).

At the starting point. Most of us were glad to get started and the excitement was building every minute. Here we geared up, applied some lotion and of course took some pics ... :D

Next... group photo session ... holding our registration forms.

Gearing up and the briefing session on the rules and emergency rescue procedures. Luckily I paid FULL attention.

The action begins.

Something happened and I was the first one to fall into the river at the first rapid called the First Canyon. The current was freaking fast and all I could do was try to keep afloat. Sukry, my raft guide rescued me at the bottom of the rapid. By the time I was out of the water, my legs were bruised and my knees were hurting like hell. hehehe but at least I managed a smile and tried to act as though it was nothing. Deep down in me, the fall really scared the shit out of me.

What happened after the fall was that I told myself to sit down and I mean really down in the raft and hold on really tight before every rapid fall. This actually made it a little embarassing for me as we were supposed to only sit in when our guide Yoo has given us the instruction. But nevertheless, I managed to perform the all the orders given even though by sitting in the raft...:P. The journey was really good with more rapids to come and more rocks to avoid.

About one and a half hours later, we reached our resting point of our journey. Relax and of course photo session time. We had some snacks made up of apples, energy bars and chocolates. For me I was glad to have a rest as my knees were swollen and aching.

Most of us including me thought that the rest of the journey would be smooth and relaxing...

Hehehehehe...

The raft I was in encountered some action too ... so did all the other rafts ... :P

Lots and lots of teamwork was required from each and everyone of us as we had to overcome not only the strong rapids but also the hugh rocks in the river.

In the end, we managed to overcome the obstacles and slowly but steadly we reached our end point.

Our guides played a major role in ensuring our safety which enabled us to complete the journey in such fun!!!

Took our lunch at the end point and drove home ... All in all it was a worthwhile trip and I never regretted coming on this one. Lessons about life and a lot more were learned in the short 3 hours journey down the river. When was the last time I had learned so much in 3 hours...:D Cheers mate!!!

Catching up on old times...

Meet up with some old school buddies lately to have a few drinks and to catch up on old times. Mind you when I said to catch up on old times. It's been really a long time, about like 8 years since I last met some of my old school friends.

Mel, Han Hoong and Wai Keat

After ordering our drinks, we started asking around how was everyone doing.

Had a great time, talking about our personal experiences and life after school. Jokes were thrown all around to spice things up. I had a great time listening to their personal experiences and way of life after school. Through our conversations we got to know how other old school mates were doing...most of them were doing great and have advanced well in their careers.

hehehe...reflecting back I actually see four secondary school boys chatting away at a table...just like during old school time. When was the last time I had a cup of tea in my old school canteen? Man, it was really great!!!

All in all everyone was doing great and advancing in our own careers.

While writing this, it actually passed my mind that time does fly by REALLY FAST. But then again, I think friendship is one of the things that does not change through time. I should do this more often!!! :D

Cheers mate!!!

New Shell Citibank Credit Card

Citibank is offering a rebate type of credit card with Shell. Saw the ad today in theStar. Anyone interested could get more information from the ad below. With the oil prices going to new heights nowadays, any type of savings in petrol would be welcomed.

Last day of my working leave...back to work tomorrow

Well, I guess all good things would really need to come to an end. So does my working leave, was on leave starting from 08 Nov 2007 and today's the last day. Will be back in action at the office starting tomorrow. Kinda welcome it though as it was quite boring staying at home for quite sometime without really going somewhere. But then again would need to recharge my nearly depleted batteries.

Maybe that explains why I finally wrote this blog!!! But anyway, during the few days at home, I did manage to watch a couple of movies at home. Anyone feeling free and would like to kill some time watching movies could try Mr. Brooks (Kevin Costner, Demi Moore, James Franco) . The poster pic was from Rope of Silicon website. Do read the synopsis there for further information. There are some nudity and violence in the movie and I wouldn't recommend it for children.

Well, would be doing some clean up today in my room to make sure it's clean. My mom's been getting impatient telling me to clean it up since last week :P

My First Blog Posting

FINALLY!!! My own blog. Was thinking why not join in the fun as most of my friends are having a blog of their own. I was thinking it would really be fun and cool. Been wanting to create a blog of my own for some time. Now after so long, I finally managed to muster enough initiative to ACTUALLY do it!

p/s:- don't really know how long the "initiative" would last. Hopefully it will be long.

To be updated...
